In the summer of 2004 I came across a few websites which described how to build your own simple hovercraft. I decided to build one and went to the junkyard where I managed to salvage two radiator fans from a Peugeot. A few hours later I was ready to test my first hovercraft. After hooking up to batteries, which I got out of an old UPS, the hovercraft came to live. The fans normally run on 12 volts, so I decided to let them run on 24 volts. Play the movie below if you would like to see the finished product in action.
